Fuel Pump Test
Hey everyone, as I had mentioned in another forum, I am having some problems with my 00' F4. Long Story short, I suspect that my spark plugs might be gunked up, but while im waiting for the new plugs and wrench to come in, I figured id check other components while i have the entire front end apart.
I want to check if the fuel pump is working properly. According to my service manuel, it instructs to disconnect the fuel hose leading into the carbs from the 3 way couple, insert it into a canand use jump wires to power the fuel pumpfrom its relay. It says to connect the black/blue and black/white terminals in the relay, however there are two black/white relays. Has anyone else done this test and does it matter which black/white wire i use? Also, Im assuming that i have to reconnect the black power harness to the fuel pump (located next to the battery) for this to work? (It had been previously disconnected. Thanks for any advice.
