Default Fuel Pump

I think my fuel pump has died... Every time I try to kick her over it sounds like one om my relays keep blowing. It makes like a Electrical shock sound. And sometime a buzz. There is no fuel geeting out of the tank. I turn the petcock on and the fuel dont even get to the filter. But the petcock works. I am stumped on this one...

Its normal for the fuel pump to make a clicking sound when the key is turned on. Not quite sure about the buzz. From what I understand, the fuel pump only primeswhen the bike is started. When the effluent hose off you should be able to see a little fuel come out when it primes. If not I would probably guess that its a bad pump, unless you somehow got a blockage somewhere in the fuel lines. Id order a new filter as well.

I have put a new fuel filter on there already... I did have to cut a peace of the fuel petcock hose because when I was synching the carbs it broke off...

So are you saying that if you disconnect the hose from the petcock, then open it no fuel comes out of the valve?

Thats what I got from it too. Your fuel filter should be between the tank and your pump, pump to carbs. If your not getting fuel to the filter, you got a stopped up petcock or an empty tank. If that the case your starving the fuel pump which will likely burn it up shortly.

No... The petcock is spewing fuel when opened. I got her running now. She is still sluggish and wonat to kill out if I rev her hard... Could it be my spark plugs. It did run out of gas.
