Default front end problems

hi all, need some help with this one. (2000 fy model, 6000 miles)
under heavy braking the forks are 'chattering' (when looking through the fairing hole there moving forward and back rapido!). this only happens under heavy braking. normal riding braking is fine.ive recently had new tyres so the wheel is balanced fine, had it re-balanced to elimate the prob. discs are fine no warping, head bearings-checked em yesterday - fine. suspension settings at standard tried a few adjustments - no change ,jacked the bike up gave the forks a pull didnt seem to move just slightly flex under the pressure i was putting on em....any ideas comments V welcome. thanks

Are your triple clamps torqued to spec on the forks?
Brake pads old and grabby or uneven?
Rough spots on rotors, gouges?
If you haven't already, put a dial indicator against the rotors and spin the wheel. You said they're not warped...how did you check them?
Those are just a few of my guesses.

Did you check to make sure your fork preloads, dampning and rebound adjustments are set exctly the same on each fork?
