Default filter help

hey guys new to the forum, got the bike about a month ago and i dont have a manual and i bought a k&n filter i dont want to sound like a idiot but how do you change the filters out and if i get a slip-on do i need to do anything with the carbs?

I'm no expert on the F4, but if you get the K&N and a Slip On.....

You're gonna wanna put on a Jet kit as well. It'll increase the performance of the bike which =

Im not 100%, but it looks like on mine you have to pull the tank off to change the air filter. Once you remove the tank, its just a couple of screws to pull the top off the airbox and remove and reinstall the air filter.

dont miss the screw in the middle that is way down deep i saw a post on here where some dude ruined his air box cause he did not see it and pryed and pulled till he broke the damn thing so dont do that

Yeah the air filter box is underneath the tank

Undo the bolts that hold the tank down....have someone lift it up & hold it while you undo the screws that hold down the top of the airbox. Pull the stock filter out & drop the K&N filter in.
Then put the screws back on the box & put the tank back on.
