Doesnt charge, new battery, tested with multimeter but when at 5000 rpms it barely makes it to 13.00. Does this mean r/r is the culprit? I changed the r/r about a year and a half ago and last summer being in NYC i was in a lot of stop and go sweating my a$$ off traffic so I could easily see it being burnt out again. Just wanted to check bc the only thing that i found on this site had 4 steps, and the 4th would of told me what i wanted but it wasnt in the thread. Maybe someone else knows what thread im talking about but anyway any idea what it means when it wont go above 13 on the multimeter at 5k rpms? Thanks guys

 

Check your stator continuity to ground. If its shorted, replace it and the r/r. If its good, replace the r/r and retest.

 

Defo the rr is do 20,000miles a year and have to change it at least twice and my stator is fine
