Default elec help

Hey guys I'm new to the forum and I've been having some electrical issues...hoping you guys could provide some insight.

some background info: First I kept blowing a fuse so I went thru and fixed whatever looked like it could be causing the problem, killed my battery, jumped it... fixed the lighting/fuse problem, but NOW my headlights and rear turn signals do not work, also the dash high beam indicator stays on regardless of the position of the switch.

The front signals work fine and are blinking fast also I can hear a clicking coming from the back.

Looked thru the wiring again and don't see any obvious problems.
Any ideas on where the problem could be or text I can do to narrow the problem? Thx

well think i found the problem the front headlight. left side melted, looking at wiring diagram the side that melted also connects to the rear turn signals. I'll try work on that over the next few days if get time... and will report back

Hmmm, check your switches. Also sounds like a bad connection somewhere that is shorting out.

check the entire harness very, very closely for a short to ground. pay even closer to the wiring around parts that move and flex while turning, harness to turn signals in the tail, and any wiring to and around anything not stock.

+1 and if there are any aftermarket additions to the harness check those as well Look under heat shrink too. I had this problem when I wired my turn signals up; flipped my lid went through 10 fuses went upstairs came bake the next day and the first heat shrink that I cut off led me to discover that when I was shrinking the heat shrink, it had melted and the running light wire was grounded. So don't give up!

Thanks everyone for your advice! the wiring was just kinda a mess and old so just re-did everything and works properly.
