Question Chain Slapping?

Hey Guys, My chain was really, really loose so I just did the following:
1. Take it for a quick spin to warm up chain,
2. Degrease and clean chain,
3. Tighten up chain,
4. Lube chain
5. Took it for a spin to see if it helped.

While tightening up the chain, I was just turning the bolts and noticed some resistance, but kept turning one 1/2turn, then the other to keep them in sync a few times, then I happened to look at the chain and noticed it was super tight!

I untightened it, and got it to 1.25-1.5" slack, now it's in the middle of the "New chain" marking. And now when I decelerate, the chain feels and sounds like it's slapping against the swingarm or something, but I don't hear it or feel it when accelerating. It also looks loose on the top somehow and appears to be drooping and touching the rubber guide when at rest.

Is it possible I bent the front sprocket when I overtightened the chain and that's what could be causing the slap when slowing down?

Is there any other thing that would cause this?

I think you still got it a little too loose, and the sprockets probably arent quite straight with eachother either. I've changed alot of these and I still have trouble getting it perfectly aligned. I usually get the slack right and then wheelie and see which way it pulls and straighten off that.
