I have '99 CBR 600 F4. I installed fender eliminator kit and mini blinkers. Everything worked okay yesterday, but now I can't seem to remove the seat anymore. I think that the cable has somehow popped out from the lock (no resistance when I turn the key to open the lock).

What do I do now? I need to get the seat open... Any tricks or tips how to get the seat off without using brute force?

 

i have had the same problem on my suzuki gsxr.Can you look under the seat?..you should be able to see the cable.Get a long handle screwdriver (Or you may reach it with your finger) and pull up on the cable untill it releases..Hope this helps

 

I managed to open the seat lock. I took off passangers hadle and used wire to get the cable trough handle hole.

 

Mine used to pop out of the holder by the seat latch also. I ended putting a couple of small wire ties around it so it would stay in place. Haven't had a problem since.
