Default Bike starts & runs but NO LIGHTS! Help

I just finished painting my bike and was re-installing the front cowl. In the process a buddy of mine decided to help by hooking up the front turn signals and I heard a small, very faint popping sound but thought nothing of it. Once he was finished and once the cowl was reattached I started the bike (perfectly fine) but now the turn signals, headlight, or tailight doesn't work.

I've checked all the fuses for the associated functions and they are good. Funny thing is that the odometer lights work that display the headlights but the turn signals won't flash or work themselves, and neither does the brakelight????

Anyone, please anyone help. In Minnesota there aren't too many good days of riding and Im missing out! I read in a few post that it could possibly be something wrong with the relay? IDK

Sure the fuses are good? Just because they look good doesn't mean they are. Check them with a meter. Fuse C is all of the lighting except the headlight and fuse A is for the headlight. Other than that you have a ground(s) disconnected or poorly connected. Check the connector that goes to the ignition also.

Ill check that later this afternoon. Were you just referring to a regular voltage meter?

I agree...check fuses. Also, did you use connectors or just use electrical tape on those connections? Could be that a wire still isn't covered & is touching bare metal somewhere.

Thumbs up

Thanks. The problem was two-fold, the connectors werent really connected since I was just using electrical tape, and the connection behind the front cowl was partially lose and wasn't connected all the way. I have since made sure all the wires have the right connector. Thanks for your help everyone. She's up and running
