banana seat cowl f4

The banana seat is a real eye sore on the beautiful F4 and it needs the cowl for sure.I went one step farther and removed the whole tail section, chopped the seat in half, and installed a CBR1000 tail section from an 07.I'll load pics soon as im a newbie but the project went smooth and it looks sick!That being said I now have a perfect black tail section and integrated tail light for a 2000 with decals.

those lights are going to leave holes in your tail fairing when you remove them, y didnt you just do a 01 f4i tail conversion? if you run the seat cover, the lights will be in the way, i have seen these on, and they look ok, but with those lights already mounted, you kinda are screwed on the seat cover

also its not a very snug fit, you can totaly tell from any distance that its two piece, i thought about going this route, but im definatly getting a 01 f4i tail, it will be money well spent, and then ill have easy access to trunk space, prob. not as much as my gsxr 1000 tho, i could fit a couple dead bodies in that cave... lol

Nice lookin' bike mk2mike. That Targa cowl is about as good as its gonna get for the F4 tail unless you do the split-seat conversion. Good color match. Did you paint your stator cover & front fender? Both look good.

I remember his front fender being carbon fiber.. looks like he painted the stator cover, but then again I think he just resprayed it after a little mishap... that bike looks so great..

yeah the front fender is carbon.
The bike was silver and red, then painted it over to the winning red/black... dropped it and had to repaint the front fairing again hahaha
I'm thinking about adding to the targa cowl though so it has some hump to it....
as for the cover I just sprayed it black, and will be doing the frame/swingarm too now..
