Default Anyone came upon this problem...?

Switch on ignition, no lights come up, dead at starter, pull hard on the bars so the front wheel lifts and lands back down, ignition comes on. I've had this issue for a while on and off. I assume it's an electrical problem, but don't know where to start. Any ideas?

While not exact same circumstances, myself & other owners have had starter switch probs. Most only required cleaning of connects. However sometimes the connections can be past cleaning or repair & require a replacement switch altogether.

i had the same prob and same solution. bad connection at starter switch..i replaced it. all good now.

last week on a road trip to deals gap i had the bike die on me and i did a road side repair on burnt fuel pump wires (hate that **** in mid-day heat)! all good...then, 30 min later same f-ing thing, engine died. so im like WTF! turned out to be the connections on the starter solenoid switch needed cleaning and i tightened the connections...the four pins and the 30 amp main fuse connections too. so i fixed that too. no probs since then. use a wire brush, contact cleaner and some die-electric grease after you clean em.

be careful with the contact cleaner on the inside of ur starter switch tho. before i replaced mine i tried to clean it with the cleaner and it dissolved the coating on the ends of the connections inside the starter/ kill switch. the new switch connections come with some kind of black coating from the factory. maybe just try taking out the little springs, stretch them back out a little. then take out the tiny brass pieces and scrape on em with a knife blade or something til they are real brassy shiney again. worked good for me....i dont know jus trying to help.

Often times just a shot of wd40 into the switch will get it operating w/o doing anything else.
