Pretty much. At least have to unbolt it. Depending on how long the fuel lines are, you may be able to prop it up enough to get to the air box.

you can't actually clean the air filter tho.. unless its k&n. Which i dont; think it is because you've never been under your tank before. There are four bolts that hold the gas tank down... then there are three tubes under the gas tank and one electrical connection. Basically undo all of these and your at your air box. PS-> TURN THE FUEL OFFBEFORE YOU UNPLUG THE GAS

Like Mauth was saying turn the fuel off. I could never find out what the posistioning was on the fuel valve, so just so you know up and down are both on and foreward is off.

I usually just unbolt the front bolts and loosen the rear and prop it up. kinda tight but works for me.

ya I usually do that too if I am not pulling the plugs. or looking further past the airbox.

just dont forget to take the bolt out of the middle of the airbox cover....I bout ripped mine off, and saw someone on here actually rip it off not too long ago.

+1 on turning the fuel off
