Default 2000 F4 coming out of storage

The bike has not ran for over a year. During this time I have cleaned the carbs so they should be fresh. I got new fuel in it and if I spray starter fluid into the carbs it starts for a bit. Also has new plugs installed if it does not start tomorrow then I will pull them and see if they are loking good

I would like some ideas on diagnosis because cranking it until the battery is low is clearly not healthy. I know that it is getting air, fuel and spark. The next thing I will do tomorrow is test the fuel pump to make sure the filter is not blocking anything.

Any other ideas or recommendations?
Thanks

I was going to say fuel pump. check that the valve is open and fuel pump is flowing properly.

Looks like the carbs are leaking/the cylinders are not getting the right amount of fuel...

When I cleaned the carbs I reused the gaskets and they are leaking. Guess I need to order the carb kit from honda and try again.

I'm in the same boat as you are except that I got mine started, but as soon as I try to shift into gear it will die.[:@] I just put new plugs in it and a new battery, voltage regulater etc... Does anyone know of anything I should do or try?

Kind of a dumb idea, but for cbninjar02, do you have the kickstand lifted when you go to shift? Also check the wires going into the clutch lever, if those come loose you will kill the engine when you attempt to shift. Peace
