2000 CBR Alignment Question
I have a 2000 CBR 600F4 and I have to turn the handlebars slightly to the right in order for the bike to go straight. I am a newbie to bikes and I was wondering if this problem can be corrected by moving the upper bridge or is it indexed?
I took the bike to a local shop and they said the forks don't appear to be bent. The technician suggested that the forks might simply be in a bind with the triple trees, does that right to you?
has the bike been down? My bike was the same way, and the forks werent bent , When I got the bike I took it into the shop to get it Maintanced, I believe they just loosened the triple tree, and they straightened it....think they said my forks were twisted inside the triple tree. my bike had been laid down when i bopught it, but was minor damage.
Yes, the bike had a low speed lay over on the right side (very minor, only scratched the fairing, did not break anything). So that shop was able to loosen the triple trees and correct your problem. Did they have to loosen the steering stem nut and index the top bridge or was it strictly the triple trees?
P.S. Your CBR looks very clean!!
