Talking Where to find this part?

I have a number of small parts I've been looking around for and not finding a place online I can purchase them from. Maybe someone would have suggestions?

plug wires: I found some used on ebay, but who's to say they aren't as bad as the ones I have. The ones I have keep coming loose.

Wire connectors: I don't need an entire wiring harness, just the little end connectors to replace a few that are in bad shape.

Various screws: Mostly for the covers. Besides the larger hex screws, there's a few other smaller ones that weren't there ever since I bought the bike.

I have just been spending lots of time doing searches, and I don't feel like paying the high prices I find at the shop. (If I had lots of spare money, I'd buy a new bike instead of piecing a beat up one together.) I tried buying a local parts bike, but after the 4th time contacting that person and no response, I've given up on that idea. I also like my F3 better than any other bikes I've ridden, so I really don't want to give up on it.

Thanks in advance to anyone with suggestions.

It's nice to see that you're trying to get your F3 back in good shape. I too think it's a worth while effort.

On the plug wires, you're absolutely right. There isn't any way to be sure. It's going to be a crap shoot. There are different places where you can go used and save money and then there are places where it's worth going the new OEM route. Hard to say if this is one of those areas.

Misc. screws and things can be had from different sellers on ebay. Once they part out a bike, they'll have a box of screws and bolts left over. Its usually a grab bag of items and you never know what you're going to get. But, for $20 or $30 for a box is not too bad considering you can pay $5 a piece from Honda for some bolts and screws. Search this item number on eBay. 120411175739

Connectors are going to be real tough. It seems that the manufacturers do their best to make them propriatary so you have to go to them. You might post up some photos of what you're looking for and maybe someone may have them around.

Good luck, hope this helped a little...

Thanks. Since screws and bolts aren't likely to ever go bad, I'll definitely look into this for those.

What I generally do for non-aftermarket stuff is use the OEM parts locator at babbits:

http://www.babbittsonline.com/pages/.../HondaOEM.aspx

Get the part# from there, then use a combo of google Shopping and eBay to price the stuff out.

I was able to find the fairing bolts at Home Depot for a few pennies. They were aluminum, but I painted them black with some engine paint and they look fine. Make SURE you get the right length. The ones up high in the front are longer, if I recall.

Check out this site whenyoure_strange, it might have the connector you're looking for. I've also got a few harnesses laying around and I can pull them off for ya if you want.

Thanks for the response everyone. It may take me a little bit to get back to everyone that has parts, but you will definitely hear from me. :-) :-)
