Default wheel question

what year and model front rims fit without mod. on my 98 cbr 600. is it only 96-98 600 rims or can f1 or f2 rims fit?

if you know for sure please list the ones that work.

95-98 is what you want. IIRC the F2 rims will work, but they're more narrow.

Hey:

VFR 750 front wheels work as well as long as you get 95plus the same style as you have, 91-94 VFR will work but you will need new discs as well, and they tend to cost more. F1 and F2 CBRs have a front wheel mounted speedo, plus F1 wheels are an older 3 spoke design that dose not match well with the newer bikes. Also a CBR900RR is a good rear that fits if you are looking for a 5.5 inch rear wheel and you can use all your old hubs and disc on it but stay away from the front as stock it was only a 16" wheel. Good Luck on your search.

Are you positive that 900rr rear will swap right over? Im pretty sure some parts will need to be machined. Im only going of this mans build, it was for a f2 but I doubt a f3 is going to make everything line up perfectly.

the tire swap portion is about 1/4th of the way down.

Hey:

Yes a CBR900RR rear wheel will work on a CBR600F3. The spacers need some minor adjustment, to work and get it perfectly lined up and square front to rear. or you can just use large washers to get it right then find or get made exactly the same in size alloy spacers. I think I used a F3 rear brake stay with no mods and a 95 VFR front wheel and forks/brakes as I had them. I now have adapted this wheel combo on my 88 CBR 1000F, So if you need any measurements let me know, I'll see what I can do.
