Whats a fair price for this bike
I have a buddy that is selling me this bike. It ran Ok, might need a clutch. Its been layed down a couple times in a parking lot, but never 'wrecked' by any means. Not sure what year it is, i forgot to ask him. I think it has about 20,000 or 30,000 miles. He moved to Chile about two years back and its been sitting in his uncles garage ever since and it needs to go. Im sure battery will be dead. What would you say a fair price for this bike would be?

It looks to be a 97 or 98 F3. Depending on what needs work to get it running I would say $1500-$1750. It is hard to tell with out inspecting a bike in person. Also depends on your friendship.
Edit: always check "consumables" i.e. tires, brake pads, chain and sprockets, these parts add up quick if done all at once.

Thats about what i was guessing. I really dont know a whole lot about value of bikes though so i wanted a second opinion. He's selling me the bike for $500. I think what im going to do is pick it up, getting it running (which will hopefully be as easy as changing out the battery), ride it around for a couple months this summer, then turn it around for profit. Its kind of a cool situation because my buddy doesnt care to get anything for the bike, he's just giving whatever money he gets for it to his uncle for storing it for the last two years
