Default whats a fair price to get tires mounted and balanced?

If I bring in the rims with my own tires.
I got quoted 30 bucks per tire. Is this reasonable? Sounds a bit high to me. Maybe its because I'm cheap and do everything I can myself. (But I don't have a bike tire machine)

About right, I think here we charge $25 per wheel depending on the bike. If it's a Goldwing you're talking a lot more. It's usually cheaper if you take the wheels off and bring them to the shop, less labor involved. Ask if they'll do it cheaper if you bring the rims in. +1 on being cheap!

I think I paid 80 to have them take off the wheels and do it...I needed it quick cause I was showing the steel belts on my old tires, but I got ripped off.

Unless you take the rims off yourself, this is about right.

My local dealership charged me a hundred bucks to mount and balance tires. I brought them the wheels and tires. I dealership an hour away from me does everything for $65 and thats if you bring the bike in and they pull the wheels off for you. I of course found that out after the fact. You're getting a fair deal I'd say.

Yea I went to a few places to find the cheapest price and I think the best I found was 35 for each tire, But that was me bringing my bike in and them taking off the rims. I think if your taking them off yourself and putting them back on then 20 bucks would be a good price

I just recently went through the same thing.... Prices are NUTS!

I ended up pulling of my wheels and bringing them to <gasp> Harley davidson, they were the cheapest in my area @ $50 per wheel
