Question What are the most common mods?

Hi I was wondering what the most common mods that are done to an F3, I've had mine for about three months and will be taking her off the road for the winter anytime now. I was planning on getting braded lines front and rear and a double bubble screen smoked of course. What else have others done just looking for little touches.

what kind of mods are you looking for? performance, aesthetics, or both?
either way heres some good ones to get:
1. HID headlight, just have to run a wire to the battery and hide a couple things under the fairings.
2. Manual cam chain tensioner, OEM ones tend to go bad.
3. Heavy bar ends, i went from crappy aluminum ones to the weighted, much Much less vibrations in the bars.
4. heated grips are awesome, nuff said
5. stage 1 jet kit, even if you have an oem exhaust it will give you more performance and sharpen up the throttle.
6. F4i gauge swap, pretty easy to do and worth the expenses.
7. if you plan on going to the track, get the shock and forks rebuilt specific for your weight.

there are tons more mods to do, just depends what you want and how much you want to spend.

this is a thread i posted awhile back about making the storage space under your seat accessible. ive jetted my carbs, new exhaust, new db windscreen, weighted bars, fender eliminate the back and a handful of other mods. but the storage space is by far the most useful mod a daily rider can do.
just my 2 cents.

I had something similar on my F3 before i gutted it. Previous owner also made a quick release on the seat which made getting to it really easy. Never stored anything valuable there, aside from roadside assistance stuff.

I have a bunch of old mid 90's SportRider and Motorcyclist magazines that I still reread couple times a year. In the back where they advertise all kinds of stuff for sale etc. is a F2/F3 "Trunk Kit". I think it was about $150. As far as popular mods go. Dont do a bunch of mods that look like you bought all the stuff at Wal-Mart. Know what I mean.

my seat had a quick release all you had to do was a firm shove backwards and it would slide right off, the seat was such a tight fit i never had any issues with not bolting it down

I have quick release except it is a little rigged...you push the passenger portion of the seat downwards then push towards the tank and it pops right off. Ive been riding before and had it pop off on me after hitting a bump. Nothing too sketcky but whenever you feel your seat start to slide off on the freeway its never a good feeling.

I have made a quick release on my bike for a heck of a lot less than the trunk kit.
if the link doesn't work go to youtube and type in f3 seat release very simple if you are comfortable making things out of metal. I love mine.
