When I first bought my bike (97 f3), I found this switch, and seeing as there were LED strips all over it, I figured it was the power switch for the LEDs.

Well....it wasn't. I just now found the switch for the LEDs on the other side of the bike. So now I'm trying to figure out what this switch and **** do.

It has power, the power LED lights up when I flip the switch, and its not connected to the LED system, but I cant really tell where it goes. The **** reads "MIN" and "MAX."

Does anybody have any ideas? No one I know has a clue .

 

Is it possible for you to contact who you bought the bike from? That would probably be your best bet. Other than that, strip the fairings off and go wire hunting!

 

Possibly a switch for your fan?

 

Looks like it could be an alarm with the min,max being sensitivity settings. Or it could be a flash box for the LESs try turning the lights on and the box and see if it controls the lights.

 

Well, I tested a few things. It doesn't make the LED's flash or anything like that. Although before I found the actual switch for the LEDs, I cut out two strips of them on the very bottom of the fairing. I have more under the tail and that shine on the motor, but the dial doesn't do anything for them.

I also rocked the bike back and forth, moved it, and even started it with the switch and light on .

I'm not that worried about it, I was just wondering really haha. This winter when I take all the plastics off for paint I'll worm my way through it.
