I have been wondering for quite a while as to why the 2 outer velocity stacks are shorter than the central 2? I realize that the main jet differences respect this difference but don't understand why.

I do know that the length of the stacks offers more performance in part of the the RPM range. I.e the longer stacks are for low end, and the shorter for the top end IIRC. Am I correct?
