Hey I was wondering if anyone has tried to swap newer upside down forks onto their f3.

 

Yes, people have. You have to swap EVERYTHING though. New triples, New fork tubes, New wheel, New brakes, New clipons.

 

yea i know you would need to change everything, just wondering what people have used in the past. if any are easier to convert then others.

 

The only ones I've seen are from Hondas. Like the 600rr/900,929,954,1000rr,F4i. Just go on ronayers.com or somewhere and check the parts microfiches to see which ones have the samesteering neckbearings as an F3. USD forks will change your steering geometry though because they are shorter than traditional forks.

 

I HAVE JUST DONE THIS,I PUT FIRE BLADE FRONT END ON MY F3,BUT CHANGED IT BACK AS IT LOWERED THE FRONT END TO MUCH,WHICH MEANS IT WILL TURN ALOT FASTER AND I WAS TOLD I WOULD HAVE TO PLAY WITH THE REAR SUSPENSION TO GET THE HANDLING OF THE THE BIKE RIGHT,A BIT TO MUCH MESSING ABOUT FOR ME,BUT I CAN SAY IT DID LOOK NICE WITH A SET OF USD FORKS

and what mods did you have to do rap919 to make them fit looks mint

 

i'm running 95 gsxr clamps. they bolt right up. 06 fork legs and calipers, 95 wheel and rotors. you can use all new stuff and have the stem turned down. any machine shop can do it. that is what i was going to do but i already had the 95 marchesini wheel and brembo rotors
