For us, (my wife and I) it wasn't about the sound, it was the performance. Her bike performs much better now with the stock header and slip-on than it did with the full system. We do like the deeper tone of the Yoshi, which is why we selected it to go with the factory header. It's all a matter of personal taste and preference.

Id go with performance to. These f3's need all the help they can get I love my setup. Stock header with a m4. On it. Its a one peice I believe.

IDoDirt do you still have that full exhaust system?

Wrapping the header has some pros to it. Hot air moves faster than cold air. So wrapping keeps the hot exhaust gas at a more even temp in the pipe.

I was considering getting them just because but a buddy said they arent worth it and as they get older the tape starts to chip and flake off and are a pain.

I hope this isnt the case though. Does anyone know?

Nope... Waste Management took it for me free of charge.
