so picked up the bike today!!!! was stoked to ride it out!!!! got to the house, about 5 min from where i bought it and realized my blinkers werent working head light and tail light and break working but no blinkers....hmmm.... so i pulled the seat and looked at the wires. to mu suprise loose wires for the signals. all the wires are there but cant figure out which goes where because of the tail light wires and the harness wires dont color coordinate + there are 3 wires on one harness and two on the other same for the front could some one help me at least tell me what the stock wire colors are that i need like what color live is from ground and so on. and what is the 3rd wire for? oh and the horn dosent work it was hooked up as an led switch lol so how could some one help me with that too please.....sorry im such a noob

 

Does your bike have the OEM turn signals on it, or has it been switched to LED's or flush mounted ones ? Has the bike been down before ? If it has, that may explain why the wire colors don't match. You can do a search on the forum for the shop manual, and it contains a wiring diagram with wire colors.

 

I'm also having an issue with my turn signals. They all blink, but the right front also stays lit all the time... Figured I would throw this out there in case anyone knows the answer off the top of their head.

 

So I'm a total noob. I bought a new bulb.

I actually just installed new turn signals on my CBR 600 (2002)...it's fairly simple (after I was shown how to do it). If you are still having issues, and this isn't too late, PM me and I can give some insight into what I did.
