Default Trip Meter

So here I am back to this reliable forum - I'm normally on kcsb (kansas city sportbike) - anyways... My trip meter has practically stopped working but my odometer is still working just fine. In maybe 50 miles my trip meter will read about a 3-4 mile trip... I can still reset my trip meter every time but it just isn't rolling like it used to... 1996 f3 and the speedo/tach are working just fine - any suggestions?

Suggestion - do F4i swap... not sure maybe one of the sprockets that actually turn it has broken teeth and that's why it's off... not sure to be honest.

F4i gauge swap runs around 150 with gauge cluster and everything, it's a relatively simple swap.

F3 gauges aren't really serviceable. Mine was completely dead. Easiest suggestion: do the F4i cluster swap.

I might just have to do that... The hardest part for me would be the mounting bracket - we'll see how much money I can get together this summer I love my f3 but I hope there's a new bike in the future sometime... It just seems like it's one thing after another with my 14 year old beauty

Another possible: find someone that has done the F4i swap and see what they did with their old gauges.

The bracket isnt hard, go to ace get 3 pieces of metal and just make a triangle, drill in correct spot, and you're done
