Winter ?? What's that... oh yea, I read about that somewhere once...

I was wondering if any of you had heard of a site called MotoWhere.com ? It's a site that allows you to map out and share your favorite routes that you like to ride.

@chuckebear hey sounds awesome. im pretty new to riding so i cant say i could keep up with you, but a nice ride would be cool. i need some good roads to hone my skills on.

got my new michelin pilot powers mounted today and cleaned up/adjusted my chain. bike is like new! haha the difference from the dunlop sportmax that the previous owner put on is huge. and he also had a 180 on the rear which i never realized was effecting the handling so much. my turn in used to be so slow, with no real feal of the edge. now with the correct size 160 in the rear & the better tires... oh my god! rides like a DREAM now. corners are a whole new story.

BTW whats the usual miles you can get out of a full tank? Im planning a ~300 mile trip this summer and I dont know what to expect for highway mileage.

Andy, is the difference that much? I was riding on a 160, which was bald and bald so it was horrible. My friend gave me a barely used 180 and I though it felt a little sluggish. I plan on buying either the pilot pures or the 2ct's in stock size soon though.

Oh Dirt you heartless man.... hahahah

I'll keep in touch Andy. Don't want you try to ride beyond your limits, but we can just take her a little easy and it's always nice to have someone else to ride with.

@ajzcamaro My opinion: YES. I thought it was my skill level that made it more difficult, but after having these put on -- totally different story. The turn in on the 180 is soo slow compared to the 160 on our bike. Taking corners now is like half the effort, i dont worry about maybe shooting a bit wide and going over the line for a sec anymore -- the 160 goes EXACTLY where i want it. I feel like i can throw it around so much better.

The guy at the shop said basically putting a 180 on a smaller wheel like ours just mis shapes the tire, and makes all the "defined" edges just roll in so you really have no judgement on where you are on the tire -- aka better chance to take a turn and slip out.

In just 1 day with the new *correct* size tires, not to mention the amazing PP's -- I have gained confidence.

@chuckebear Awesome man, Im kinda looking forward to it! Im not one to try to impress you guys by keeping up and acting a fool not knowing wtf im doing. Id be much more impressed with myself to just tackle some nice twisties and leave without a scratch.
