Tire Height
it will be 9mm taller.
total OD of the 150 is 620mm while the 170 is 637mm. they do vary by manufacturer, but since it was not specified which, i'm using bridgestone specifications as a reference.

The second number is a percetage of the first number. So 150/60, 150mm wide 60% of that is the sidewall height= 90mm. So 170mm wide, 60% of that is 102mm sidewall height. 12mm higher than what you are now. 74Demon makes sense but I think his math is a little angle bo jangle.

in this case, the difference is 17mm total. divide that by 2 (to account for only the bottom), you get 8.5mm. the bike will sit 8.5mm higher +or- a little for air pressure. if we can get what model tire he has and which he is getting, we can be more accurate.

Thanks guys! So the difference shouldn't be that much. I will be getting either a Q2 or a shinko 006, 009. Also I should clarify that my feet are flat to the ground but just barely. Not on my toes at all lol.
yes. according to dunlop, the q2 in a 170/60-17 fits 4.5 to 5.5 rims.
strange that a bridgestone bt-016 150/60 fits 4-4.5 (4.5 rec) while the 170/60 fits 5-5.5 (5.5 rec). doesnt matter because youre not using bridgestone, but they list specifications for the different tire sizes.
