I used the 35W and given the size of the headlight housing i don't think the 55w would get too hot. Also i don't know if ur going for any color in the bulb but keep in mind a 6k 55w will look like a 5k 35W. so if you are wanting the "HID" bluish tint i would suggest getting 8k 55W. otherwise the 6k 55w will be pure white and use the most of the visible light spectrum.

So the xenon filled bulbs are crap? i thought about getting some.. Would I be better off just running OEM bulbs vs xenon?

 

I don't know, but people that went to this HID system, never look back at the cheap bulbs.

I myself worry about hitting something on the road because I don't see to well with the stock bulb at night.

 

Yeah I can imagine. I'd go for an HID kit for sure, but the thing it I'm planning on selling my F3 once I complete it and I want to make a little money off it so each "un-necessary" buy would hurt the profit.. So once I get a keeper, I'd defiantly go for it. My question is will the Xenon ones supply a little more light without going HID?
