Default stutter/stall in first gear

I've got a 96 F3, cleaned the carbs, replaced inline fuel filter, changed plugs, and replaced the air filter about 1200 miles ago and ithas been running great until this afternoon, ran great this morning and then my whole 25 mile ride home from work, everytime i started out at a stop sign, the bike wanted to die when i'd go to take off, (it died on me twice), i'd have to feather the throttle and the clutch and it'd slowly take off, spitting and sputtering and once i got around 4K or so it'd be fine and run fine through the rest of the powerband, any ideas? , when the bike did die twice, it wouldnt start unless i put the choke on and held the throttle about half way open, i'm thinking fuel pump, clogged fuel strainer(in tank) or maybe my carbs are out of sync ( i didnt sync them after i cleaned thecarbs, but i didnt seperate the bodies at all or mess with the screws)

well i did some troubleshooting and this is what i came up with, the fuel pump isnt getting any power at all, i tested the two wires that come to the fuel pump and am getting no power, I tested the fuel pump cutout relay connection and am getting no power on any of the three there, i removed the fuel pump and hooked it up to a battery and the fuel pump does work , now my next question is , how did i make it 25 miles without a fuel pump? is there enough vaccum to run the bike i take it?

well the book tells you to do the power test with the ignition switch on, and after reading the wiring diagram i figured out that the Stop switch needs to be on as well, so i do have power to the fuel pump, did a discharge test and the fuel pump is pumping a little over what the book says, so thats good

it sounds like your low rpm, idle jets are clogged. if you know about your carbs, take out the smaller jet and clean it with some carb cleaner, soak it and run some fishing line through them..should help
when i first got my bike it wouldnt run at low rpm, but high rpm would be great. i had to run choke to idle it and keep it running. cleaned these jets and it runs like new!!!

if it were the fuel pump, the performance would actually go down as the rpm increased because it would be getting even less fuel per unit air.
