No, it's a 955i. had both of these up until a short while ago. The SV650 was sold because I never used it, that's why I bought the Steelie, it gives me something to do

Quick update. I tried to fit the Gixxer seat unit, but wanted to try & keep the frame standard. Big mistake, even with a lot of cutting etc. It didn't work. The race seat wasn't of the best quality & cracked & crazed like mad, so has been sent to the bin.
I'm now going down the tried & tested route of an RR tail.

Quick update. I normally use spray paint to do my wheels, but have used Hammerite this time & dont really like the results. They don't look too bad from a distance, but really bad close up, so will be taking the wet & dry to them to see if I can get them looking better.

It's probably just for getting a visual. Funny though, I wasn't paying attention and I didn't notice. Good catch there Will.

It was a case of visual, but I was so cheesed off that the paint looked so bad I hadn't noticed lol.
It's coming out again this weekend as I hope to spray the frame. Just hope I put it back in the right way round

lol. gotcha.
I also repainted my frame, but i didnt get anywhere near as broken down as you are..are you sure since you have everything stripped that you dont want to get it all powder coated? im sure you would be more than happy with the way it would turn out in that case..

Did think about powder coating, but now I've started, I'll carry on with the rest.
Quick update, I have just got home from work with my RR seat unit, so thought I would renew my vigour before I go out by dry fitting a few parts. I like it, I like it a lot, so will get stuck in this weekend.

Well, it took me all day yesterday to fit the seat, but it's done now. Today I will be painting the frame, hope it goes better than the swingarm. Anyhow, a couple of pictures of the seat.

A few brackets fabricated.

Alluminium spacers

Quite a good fit

The finished product

Tail light fitted
