Default sprocket

OK so My 96f3 is nice and fast but the guy who owned it before me went -2 in the rear, He said he didnt know if the front was stock or not so Iam going to change them both because the bike has little power till 6000rpm I would like more low end, Right now the front end is lowered so the wheel will not come up no matter what. I have tried to power it up at all different kinds of rpm in first and Tried to clutch it up and there is not luck, I dont want to be trieing to keep in down in third but I would like to get it up and have some fun. what would you guys do with the sprockets ?

Stock sprockets keep the speedo/odometer readings more accurate.

I'm guessing your front is 15t and you have a 41t rear? If so, bump the rear to the factory 43t and try that out. I'm sure people wheelie with that setup.

i know that my 97 was sitting at 15 on the front and 41 on the back and I could power up in first second and third, but i also had an ignition advancer, and a stage 3 jet kit. I would replace the clutch before you replace the sprocket, unless the chain s already gone... You would be surprised how much difference a worn out clutch will make on the f3.

I'm going to go with -1 tooth on the front sprocketfor a 14 front and 43 rear combo. With that setup, I get to keep the stock 525 chain and get a steeper gear ratio than+2 on the rear. I will definately be getting a speedo-healer though! However, I can clutch it up with the stock set-up now.

Clutching up is a scary feeling. Gotta be careful. Try it at a low rpm and higher and higher until it comes up. DO NOT rev it high and pop the clutch!!!! You'll be on your *** faster than you can blink. Seen it happen right in front of me, not a good time.
