riding along the highway last night when i noticed sparks coming off the bottom of the left fork area. cant imagine that this is a good thing, at lower speeds there werent any sparks. ideas anyone?

sounds like its the brake rotor..not the forks..there really nothing that can spark on the forks
check and see if your pads are worn down to the metal on that side...just an idea

 

This is a little out there... but one time I had an exposed wire that was shorting out on the forks. It gave off some sparks and then blew the fuse. I'm not sure where your seeing the sparks but mine were fairly up high on the forks. If there is no short... definately would be in the brakes/rotors. Good luck to ya.
