Default Spark plug wire diagram

Hey guys, Ive downloaded some manuals for cbr's but there is no specific year on the manuals so I dont know what im really dealing with. My bike has been sitting for 2 years and I just bought her last week and used some starting fluid to get her going after I changed the oil and filter along with the plugs and wires. She will start up with ease once the big has already been started, but she wont start the first time of the day. I dont know if the spark plug wires are lined up right, I have it so its 1 and 2 and then 3 and 4. But I read up some places that it should be 1 and 4 and then 2 and 3. What is it for a 97 cbr f3?

The cylinders are numbered 1-4 from left to right as you're sitting on the bike. The ignition coils, 2 of them, each drive sparks for 2 cylinders. One coil is for cylinders 1,4 and the other coil is for cylinder 2,3. There is a Black/White wire going to both coils. The coil that drives cylinder 1,4 has a Yellow wire with a Blue stripe on it. The coil for cylinders 2,3 have a Blue wire with a Yellow stripe.

Now, all that being said, if these were not connected properly, your bike wouldn't run worth a crap no matter how warm it was. If it's been sitting, then the Starting Enrichment circuits in the carburetors are most likely plugged and you're going to need to take them apart and clean them. Or pay someone to do that.
