anyone carry an extra helmet on the helmet lock while riding? will this cause any problems?

 

Its only for locking your helmet while your parked, DO NOT use it to carry a spare helmet. Apart from bouncing the helmet around & damaging it (making it totally useless) & probably bits of your bike. Your setting yourself up for all sorts of problems,. To much to go into,(ok one scenario, helmet gets jammed between rear wheel & lower rear rail!!!) Anyway forget it, dangerous stuff..............

That is true but you could possibly sit the helmet behind you on the seat and use the chin strap to tie to the strap that goes across the seat. Just an idea.

I have carried a spare on the backseat but not by just attaching the chin strap...I would suspect it would slide from side to side...I use a cargo net. Best 8 bucks I ever spent! I use it all the time for my backpack and saves me wearing it
