Police and local municipalities are all about tickets and quotas. We all know this, and we know the pressures of rider profiling. The bikes attract attention whch is one of the reasons we got them in the first place. With that said It was not the smartest thing to ride the track bike, but it is not the job description to always write tickets as well. 4 police officers and 8 tickets is excessive if you ask anyone. There should have been some middle ground here. The police should hve escorted him home and given him a written warning as it was his first time. Not knowing if he mouthed off or was disrespectful, I would guess that the town is hard up for money or is dealing with alot of immature riders who are using their bikes on public roads illegaly and dangerously and this is their response to all of that. Screw the greedy state and local municipalities and ride at the track.

You calling this excessive made me chuckle a little, then I realized you were serious and I just *shrugged*. He didn't deserve to be escorted home and warned, he deserved to have his track bike impounded for moronic behavior.

I live and work in south korea and the cops here are like what ever. The other day I rode past the police at a high rate of speed being as loud as I could be and I knew it was just another day without any problems with the cops. You can do pretty much what you want here in korea you just have to be on you guard because the local people drive like crazy.
