Thumbs up Smoke? Leaks

It’s been an on going thing, trying to find where a very small amount of smoke is coming from when hot? Well today I went all over the bikes wires and clips and multi meter readings with no joy ! Today my k,n air filter turned up so I was in the process of fitting it , I was so relieved to find that the pipe ( hose). That comes from the top of the rocker box to the air filler had come off. So no more smoke I’m well happy , but does anyone think that would make the bike lose power , ( bike would start straight back up again).

Any kind of vacuum leak can cause you grief. When you say lose power, can you be more specific?

Well. I went for a ride. Today and it never happened, it was. When I had been trashing the bike up though the gears and had the throttle wide open then shut it , the bike would die. But today I bought a new stator, and r,r and plugs (. Plugs are abit of a sod to change LOL ). Just got back from a 1 hour ride , and it ran perfectly, so hopefully it’s sorted it out, if not I’ve got a lot of spare parts, at least no more smoke!

Abit off the subject but I’ve noticed that in the picture of your bikes, the red bike has slots in the front mudguard witch I like a lot are they all interchangeable I’ve got a f3 95.

As far as I know the parts from the F3's were interchangeable. They don't indicate that in the parts manuals since they're different color, and that makes them unique to the year. Physically though they are the same for mounting.

I think he's referring to the rear grab bar that the EU bikes have. I believe there must be a mounting isolation piece.

Yea that’s probably it. For some reason I had it in my mind that it mounted similar to the review mirror.
