Default Smoke from headers

First off thanks to all the previous help I now have my 97 f3 running. But now once started I am getting smoke from the header area and all the way back to the pipe. Any thoughts on what this could be? Has a similar smell to when oil burns but I can see no leaks. TIA

Yea, kind of hard NOT to get oil on the manifold when changing the oil. If you didn't change the oil check the oil filter it's prob. loose. Good luck!

Yeah it was just changed but it was smoking beforehand and I can't see any oil anywhere. It seems to come from the entire header, I saw smoke coming from beneath the engine.

Check if you have any leaks around the header to head area, when cold and you first fire up you can put a hand in and around the area to feel if there is any blowing there ... also a little spilt oil can make an awful lot of smoke, if however after a good ride it's still smoking away then it looks like oil is actually leaking somewhere and getting on to the headers or the exhaust somewhere ...

Good luck!! :-)
