well when i turn my bike off it smells like rotten eggs and the lights are a lil dim until i give it some gas ?this is a first for me can anyone help?

 

Sounds like you have some dead rats somewhere and that you need a new battery. Sure the rotten eggs aren't just exhaust fumes?

 

sounds like your battery is cooking.....otherwise an animal may have found a new home, and then cooked itself...

 

I had the same trouble with my f2 and i'll bet a new battery won't fix all your troubles if your case is like mine the reg/ref is overchargeing your bike swap that out as well as a new battery and ride on....

I think these guys probably have it nailed. VR is probably overcharging your battery - the fumes from the acid smell like that. When voltage reg goes bad it can either undercharge or overcharge. I'd bet yours is overcharging.

Check the battery liquid levels. It may be low. Have you noticed any drips coming from the battery overflow tube or are there any droplets inside that tube?

 

no it was just went a bought a new one cause it was kinda old anyway...reg/ref if i don t replace right away ...what will happen?can i wait a bit or is it ....just need to be done?

 

if the R/R are hooped you could mess up your new battery too... get a voltmeter and check to see if your battery is overcharging or not
