Are the carbs/jets on the 95-96 F3 the same as the ones on the 97-98 F3s?? The reason why I am asking is because I am putting together a project F3 and I have a 96motor w/o carbs. I have some stockcarbs from a 97 F3. I also noticed that they have different part numbers on most of the OEM carbparts(ie. 95-96 F3sshare the same part #'s, AND 97-98 F3sshare the same part #'s).

and another question...

Has anyoneditched the stock air box and replaced it with oval or circle K&N filters mounted directly on the carb intake?

the 97 is a differnt carb, but from what I've read it, it will work fine. Just a small change on it to give like 1 more horsepower.

95-96 carbs are the same- V61A- 49 state

97-98 carbs are the same- V61B- 49 state
