Does it happen every time? Second gear is tricky like that, if you don't shift thru neurtal into second hard enough you will slip back into neutral most every time. Just be sure that your shifting fully in every gear. I sometimes slip between 3rd to 4th and everytime I do it I wanna kick myself because I didn't shift hard enough. If it does slip everytime, you may be looking for a new tranny.

Most likely you have a worn shift "Dog". The Dog is a part in the transmission that engages the drive gear with a driven gear. They have pins on their sides that get worn over time, and the rapid accelleration can cause the Dog gear to be kicked out. I may not be explaining it exactly right, but essentially it's a worn part in the transmission that probably needs to be replaced. You wouldn't need an entire new transmission, but some parts
