I just got a 96' CBR 600 and it needs a new battery...but, need some help on how to get that seat off. I have noticed the 2 bolts directly under the seat when I pull up the edges, but is there a release?

No quick release. You have to remove those two bolts to get the seat off. I know it sucks.

THE F-3 SEATS ALSO HAVE A SMALL LIP ON THE SEAT REAR OF THE SEAT BASE THAT LOCKS UNDER THE TAIL.

 

great isn't it that Honda design the tray under the seat to fit the tools in (which is a perfect fit so no movement at all) but you need the tools to get the seat off!!! Marvellous engineering design!
