Running Rich?
I picked up my f3 & have been working on it since. I knew that it need a tune up when I bought it, I didn’t realize how much it did till a funeral precision when my friend behind me told me that my exhaust stinks, almost making him & his GF sick, my Gf told me that sometimes I come home smelling lightly of gas. It has a yoshi pipe on already, & I’m going to get a high flow air filter.
I changed the plugs with iridium ngk’s & I found that the tank vents hoses were kinked. I have done some research & found that adjusting the pilot screws will help the air / fuel mix. But I have very little experience
With carbs & my before mentioned friend does but he is of no help. I have uploaded pictures to my album of the carbs under the airbox but that is as far as I care to venture without help, because I can tell that someone has worked on them already because the tabs over the screw are gone & bent upwards.
My question is A) can it be know from the pictures is it jetted or something else? B) Is there anything else that will cause it to run rich that can be fixed without messing with the pilot screws? C) (stupid question time) would a oil change help, people tell me to get the oil changed, which I plan on doing anyway.

edit:
My gas mileage is about 150 to 170 miles per tank without going into the reserve depending on how much I get on it.

You are getting awesome gas mileage so I dunno how poorly jetted you are right now. I have never got more than 140 on a tank and I pretty much have the same set up as you.
You wont be able to tell if your bike is jetted unless you open up the carbs and see what numbers are written on your main jets. Its not a difficult task, just time consuming if your doing it for the first time.
The milage is mostly commuting though the raual area with traffic that avg. 55-/+ mph. When i go out riding with friends, it drops like a cat pushed of the table.
Any good tutorials, with pictures preferably?
