The Smokin Joe edition was only made in '96 and '98. In 1997 they made a Uranus Violet/Yellow version, but it was not a SJ.

ya, my F3 was a rebuild and complete '96 smokin' joe plastics were put on it along with actual smokin' joe rims as well, so it was not a legit SJ.

so after digging into the brakes this weekend, i found the problem. the calipers are fine and were doing their job, the mount snapped and the caliper got pushed off of the rotor because of the forces applied and the brake pads fell out after the caliper was free. the mounts for the front brakes are not very strong. they're aluminum pewter which apparently is not the most durable compound.

the bike that i wanted at the stealership was gone, but ive decided, due mostly to the fact that my bike has a rebuild title, that i'm going to part it out. i had it down to just the frame and engine in 2 hours. i have the engine and carbs (along with jet kit) most likely already sold. most of it will be put on ebay (thats where i've gotten most of my parts) or you can PM me if you are interested in a part. i dont have much in the cosmetic department as i've dumped the bike a few times, but mechanically speaking, the bike was perfect.

goodbye F3, hello 954.
