Was wondering what this hole in the highlighted section is. I'm guessing it's a chain roller. I looked it up in the manual but couldn't find anything on it. Asked the stooge @ the dealership and he reckons 2001 F4I doesn't have a chain roller. Whats the deal?

Could be a casting hole that held the block while it was cast.

Is nothing being there bothering u?

 

Yea no kidding! I couldn't get my chain that clean the time I took the wheel off to get a new tire! Look at that freaking sproket too you must spend weeks with a toothbrush on that baby. lol

 

Lol nah I went right over the bike when I bought it. New chain, sprockets etc etc but yeh I do like to keep her tidy.

I heard something about Honda including a mount for a center stand on the F4i, because the F4i was their first sport bike that they stopped putting center stands on. Maybe?

 

Certainly sounds plausible but I would imagine that there would be a hole on the other side if that were the case.

 

European model f4i's got a center stand. You can find them on ebay once in a while.

 

Did Australia get the european model? I don't know.
