Default Radiator and Fuel leak

Hey, I'm a pretty new rider and am not very experienced with fixing mechanical issues on a bike. I noticed a little bit ago a kind of large fuel leak coming from right near my kick stand when it was leaned to the left. It wasn't massive and only leaked when i had recently filled up my tank. It wasn't very major and since I didn't have the money to get it checked out it let it be. It recently slowed to only a drop here and there.

However I was moving my bike yesterday, and as I was moving it a car came into the lot I was in and in my hast to get out of its way, my bike tipped and well on its right side. I know, stupid move, but things happen and it didn't seem to do much. However when I started my bike about 5 minutes after it started leaking a lot of a good amount of gas and when i revved the engine a bit started to heavily leak radiator fluid which started to smoke. I instantly cut the engine and haven't started it since then.

So my question is what could have broken on the drop to cause this? is it more likely just a hose issue or should I start looking up prices on a new tank and radiator?

Thanks for reading, and thanks for the help.

The fuel leak may just be you over-filled the tank and on the side-stand it's
running out thru the over-flow vent in the under-rim of the gas-cap. There is a hose
from it that exit/dangles about where you're talking about. It still wouldn't
hurt to check all of your fuel-lines for cracks, etc., though.

The radiator leak, not sure what's happening there. Perhaps the over-flow bottle
down by the rear-shock doesn't have the cap on tight? It might have just spilled on the exhaust and it took a moment to heat-up enough to start burning it off.
If it was exhaust smoke from the engine, it was probably oil that ran past the rings when the bike was on it's side, that pooled in the cylinders. That will burn-off and clear up after a bit.

Dropping the bike on it's side is annoying but should not have done any
permaenant damage to your baby. Fluids just go where they shouldn't and
it will temporarily reflect that when you first run it again.

It may sound obvious, but doesn't your cell-phone have a cheapy camera built-in?
Pics don't have to be professional just clear enough to illustrate your point. ;-)

I hope this helps give you a direction, but please remember that any advice is
given without the benefit of being there. So it may sound reasonable but could be
wrong. I hope not or I wouldn't post, but always keep that in mind when seeking
advice on-line.

Good luck, Ern

Hey, thanks for the response.

I got some pics for you of where the fuel is coming from, at least where its dripping off. I wasnt able to see any higher up without taking off the plastics, and as of now I dont even have a screw driver. I checked the radiator fluid levels in the overflow and they were within a regular range. I tightened the cap so that should be an issue if it starts leaking again. I tried starting it up again and it started leaking a fair amount of what I'm pretty sure is only fuel so I cut it after a few seconds, but I noticed that after I killed it and closed the choke again a bunch poured out for a little bit. Idk what that could be but I'm thinking the problem may be based around the choke?

Here are the picture of where the leak is coming from. I think I saw some coming from what looked like a drainage line but most was coming from the left of it off the nut in the left of the closer picture.

That big fat hose is the fuel over-flow connected to the gas tank under the rim
of the fuel cap. It's there for over-flow from toping off the fuel tank too much.
If it 'leaks' should be a one time deal/event. I'm thinking you have a loose fuel hose
under the left side is the fuel petcock/filter/pump. If one of those hoses came loose,
from the drop, that might be the source of your problems.

Pull the left side-cover and peer up in there and follow all the hoses there.
Be sure that they are all secured.

Hope this helps.
