So now that it's been really really hot the small stress mark on the seat turned into a full tear and now I want to get a new seat. There are a bunch on E-bay that fit the F2s or earlier 96 F3s. I have a 97 F3 and am wondering if the earlier bikes' seats are the same as the one on mine?

the 91-96 is different from yours. The 97-98 wraps around the gas tank and the 91-96 doesnt.

 

Have you considered recovering the seat yourself? I bought some marine grade vinyl and recovered mine a few weeks ago using a staple gun. It looks brand new. I just thought I would throw it out there.

 

recover it yourself..i did mine and it looks great.
