I'm in process of putting fuel pump on. When bike was purchased it had no pump on it

correct me if I'm wrong.. The smaller diameter hose on the electrical connect side is just an extra drain hose??

The side marked inlet, that connects to the tank?? Is there suppose to be an online filter between tank and pump?

Other line goes to the T that goes to the carbs?

 

On mine there's a filter between the tank and pump.

 

The little hose is a vapor hose and should point down. The filter is between the tank and the pump.

 

Thanks!! Put it on yesterday.. Test ride was a success. It idles perfect now! It still acts like it isn't distributing the power tho. Feels more like a 300 instead lol. Can't get past 100mph in 5th @ no more than 6-7k. 123 all seems to go smooth @ wot but after that I'm calling it the rocking horse effect... I'll dam near have it open and kinda feel certain spots where it wants to go, give ya a little jolt forward hen send me right back to no accleration.

Any ideas or direction where I should be headin next?? Once again thanks in advance
