question about handling
my career on bikes consists of my 97 F3 and an F4i. I have noticed that both of these bikes handle considerably well. they are very easy to flick into a corner and can seem to do it at a decent clip. Neither of these bikes have any suspension mods but both are running Dunlop Qualifiers for tires. I know Qualifiers are a confidence inspiring tire, but my general question is: Are CBRs exceptional at handling or are all bikes this way? I am looking to upgrade next year and am wondering if it's just my inexperience on other machines or if I should just stick with the best
This has to weigh up to many variables, like the type of riding you do, where you're riding & riding experience (to name but a few).
No, not all bikes handle well, even a good handlier like the F3's, if they are set up wrong with suspension & tyres, can handle woefully. Other types of bikes handle like crap regardless of what you do to them. On a lot of bikes, handling is a trade off between that & comfort (& in some cases, style & use).
There are a lot of good sports bikes around, but when push comes to shove, Honda wins out on build quality & reliability.

My 900RR handles great, It feels a little heavier than the f3. But makes up for it in power, As pacemaker states Honda is the best handling sport bikes. I have ridden Ninjas and GSXR's & Ducati's and love my Honda's I have owned several F2 &F3 and my RR since new in 99
