I would like to know what you people think about this bike and its price:
Bike I'm considering

I actually have a 2003 Ninja 250 to trade him and I'd like to upgrade to a bigger bike.

 

He's asking way too much, unless maybe the fairing are brand new OEM. It's still not a smokin joe's though

 

I agree, the bike is not a Smoking Joes Edition (SJE) or at least the fairings on the bike are not. You would have to confirm the frame # for a positive identification but my guess is the guy is just calling it a smoking joes edition. Here is a link to what the SJE paint scheme looks like and as you'll see, they are completely different. You'll see a lot of people try and claim that paint scheme to be a SJE. About the price... $4000 is WAY too much! Maybe $2700 if it was MINT and only had 10K or less on the clock. If the guy does not go down on the price, walk away.

 

Wow! The paint scheme really is very different. I e-mailed him asking the mileage and he says it has about 16k on it. I think I may pass this one up. Thanks people! I'm still pretty set on upgrading to a CBR 600 though so I'll keep poking around.

 

this guy is smoking crack!!!! the bike looks clean but I don't think its a smoking joe. What ever the case he is still high as a kite. besides this shmuck posted here about two weeks ago asking if he should keep this bike for his wife. For that amount of money you can buy a newer bike. I think he got a pair of bikes for cheap. Just of principle alone I'd kick this smuck's ***! Don't buy it. I wouldn't. Cheers mate!
