Default Plug wires....

How often should you change the plug wires? I know in a car I generally do it evert 40-50000 miles, any difference to worry about on these bikes? I'm getting ready to install some Iridium IX plugs.

The bike has 31000 miles on it now and runs great.

Also, am I stuck with a stock set or are there some available in the aftermarket?

I have never replaced a wire due to arcing.

You can reuse the plug boots and just replace wires if you want...you can buy the wireby the foot.

NGK makes wires/boots. MSD stuff is high end, with a matching price tag...but trust me, the OEM stuff is just fine, and you'll not notice gains.
